Cold Case Task Force Investigating Serial Rapist
This is being released regarding a series of sexual assaults occurring between 1991 and 2001. These cases are being investigated by a Cold Case task force and within the past two weeks several new leads have been developed. The investigation is ongoing and the investigating agencies believe the assistance of the public may help with this investigation. A press release coordinated by all investigating agencies will be released at the time of the press conference. The Press Conference/Press Release will give detailed information regarding the crimes including dates, locations, suspect vehicle information, suspect description and M.O. Due to the ongoing and rapidly evolving nature of this investigation, this information is sensitive and will not be released until Press time.
The known crimes began in 1991 in and continued through 2001. To date, eight of the below incidents and 9 victims have been linked by DNA, and other cases are believed to be related based on Modus Operandi (Method of operation).

Suspect Wanted for Scamming Vulnerable Adults

Investigators found that the suspect is 26 year old Chuck Baker from Texas. Chuck is currently wanted out of SLC for a $25,000 warrant for Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult as well as new charges. Chuck may be driving a GMC Sierra truck that is blue or green in color with a Texas plate number DVR1683.
Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating this suspect. We are also asking the public if they have seen this person in their neighborhood and if they may have been a victim of this scam as well. If so, please contact your local police department.
