Dear Carol: I was happy to see the street sweeper diligently cleaning the gutters in my neighborhood. I would have been happier if it hadn’t also been trash day and the truck didn’t have to go around all of the trash cans. It seems if our local tax dollars are going to be put toward beautification, the least the city could do is plan better and make sure the whole street is being cleaned. Signed, Clean Street Lover Dear Clean: You’re right. We try to clean the streets when it’s not trash day, but once in a while we have a glitch. I brought your comment to the attention of Scott Hodge, Public Works Director and he’ll make sure his street sweeping crew adheres to that policy.
