The following actions were taken by the Clearfield City Council in June, 2012:

• The Council approved a resolution authorizing the disposition of property located on the northeast corner of Freeport Center in the exchange for the nearby larger parcel.

• A public hearing was held to receive comments on the 2012/2013 fiscal year budget and the Council approved the budget with no tax increase.

• A public hearing was held for the bid awarded for the 475 East Sanitary Sewer repair project to Whitaker Construction.

• The Council approved amending the land use ordinance for the inclusion of definitions and supplementary standards and related matters for retail tobacco specialty businesses.

• The Council approval of award of bid to Brinkerhoff Excavating for the Ross drive storm drain project.

• The Council approval of award of proposal to Lewis, Young, Robertson & Burningham (LYRB) for the parks capital facilities plan, impact fee facilities plan and the impact fee analysis.

• The Council approved award of bid for constable services to Court Services of Utah.

• The Council approved resolution 2012R-11 acting as the governing authority of the North Davis Fire District adopting and certifying its tax rate for the 2012 taxable year at .001400 for the 2012 taxable year.

• The Council approved resolution 2012R-12 authorizing an interlocal agreement with Layton, Clinton and Syracuse Cities for participation on a multi-agency Metro SWAT Team by Layton City Police Department.

• The Council approved ordinance 2012-06 updating Clearfield City’s consolidated fee schedule addressing an increase in sewer fees by Board of North Davis Sewer District.
