ws2011.jpgIf you’re one of those people who think Shakespearean plays are, dare we say boring, you need to buy your tickets now for this anything-but-typical offering of a wild tour through the Shakespearean classics. “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” is a hilarious, breakneck comedy featuring three comedians making their way through all of the Bard’s plays (and some sonnets, too!) in less than two hours. Complete with a hip-hop Othello and the histories performed as a football game, this is Shakespeare for those who don’t think they like Shakespeare, and especially for those who do! “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” is chock-full of sight gags, physical humor and irreverent foolery.

Clearfield Community Theater’s “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” is directed by Brittney Ann Mosher, who recently starred as Sister Mary Amnesia in Clearfield Community Theater’s August production of the musical “Nunsense”. Mosher, a graduate of Clearfield High School, Snow College and LDS Business College, has an extensive background in theater, having performed in over 30 musicals, plays, competitions and concerts. She directed Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” for LDS Business College, in addition to several other plays/musicals. Her talents include not only acting and directing, but Mosher is an accomplished musician.

Performances will be held at the Clearfield Community Center Little Theater, 140 E. Center Street, on October 20, 21, 22, and 24, 7:30pm show time. All seats are reserved seating only. Ticket prices are $7.00 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under, and $5 for seniors 60 and over. For best seating selection, reserve seats early. Tickets can be purchased online at https://events. regtix.com/williamshakespeare.htm, at the Clearfield Community Services Department, located at 55 South State Street, or at the door the day of the performance.
