The Clearfield City 4th of July Celebration continues to be one of the most spectacular summer celebrations held each year. Plan to attend the following activities and see your Clearfield Pride grow:

Friday, July 2nd
For up-to-the-minute traffic, event and parking information on the 4th of July festivities tune in to Clearfield City’s own radio station, 1680AM.

Dusk, Free Family Outdoor Movie Night
�Enjoy “Planet 51” under the stars! Bring your picnic blankets, stock up on goodies at the concession stand and curl up for a balmy night of movie magic. This free event is at Fisher Park, 935 S. 1000 E.

Saturday, July 3rd

7:00 am, Freedom 5K Run/2 Mile Walk
The Freedom 5K Run/2 Mile Walk begins in front of the city municipal building at 55 S. State Street. This moderate run/walk is open to all ages. Prizes will be awarded to the best overall male and female time and ribbons will be awarded for 1st through 3rd place in each age division. Pre-registration is going on now through Friday, June 25 at 5pm. The pre-registration fee is $15 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under, and includes a t-shirt, refreshments, awards and a chance to win a variety of prizes. The fee for those registering after June 25 and the day of the race (6:15am – 6:45am) is $20.00 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under. 7:00am - 10:00 am, Boy Scout Pancake Breakfast
Join us for the annual Boy Scout fundraising pancake breakfast for Scout Troop 385 in the parking lot of Macey’s grocery store at 580 S. State Street. This hearty breakfast will include pancakes, eggs, sausage, milk and juice, with Macey’s selling coffee. Prices are as follows:

$22/family of 5 (must be living in the same household), for individuals 12 years and older breakfast is $6, and $3 for 11 years and under.

Parking will be available in Macey’s parking lot as well as the surrounding area.

9:30am – 11:00am, Clearfield's Hometown Parade
Cheer on local schools, businesses, civic organizations and groups participating in our hometown parade. Set up your chairs early for a prime parade viewing spot along the parade route which begins on State Street at the intersection of Center Street, continues south on State, turns east on S.R. 193 and ends at Fisher Park/ Clearfield High School on 1000 East. Parking will be available at various locations along the parade route – look for the posted signs. For safety reasons, city officials ask that parents keep their children from running out into the parade route, and spectators refrain from squirting water or throwing objects at the parade participants.

The deadline for parade entrants to register is Monday, June 21. All parade entrants are required to attend a pre-parade meeting on Thursday, June 24th, 7:00pm at the Clearfield city building, 55 S. State Street, 2nd floor multi-purpose room. Parade applications can be accessed below or can be picked up at Clearfield Community Services, 55 S. State Street, or the Clearfield Aquatic Center at 825 S. State Street.

1:00pm - 6:00 pm, Clearfield Aquatic Center Open Plunge

Grab your swimsuits and sunscreen and cool off at the Clearfield Aquatic Center’s Open Plunge. The Open Plunge is free with your Clearfield Aquatic Center membership; the regular daily fee applies for non-members.

6:00pm - 11:00pm, Fisher Park Festival
934 S 1000 E.

The Fisher Park festivities will begin at 6:00pm with food, Pepsi booths, and inflatable toys and games provided by Custom Events, Inc. Clearfield’s own Community Band will perform a medley of patriotic tunes on the Fisher Park stage from 6:00pm-6:45pm. Fighting Hunger on the Fourth collection carts for non-perishable food items will be located throughout the park.

Put your groove-thing on and dance to the tunes of our festival headliner, the ten-piece R&B group The Soulistics, from 8:30pm- 9:55pm. The flash and sizzle of the night will culminate in the 10:00pm fireworks show - a The Soulistics perfect way to end the day.

7:30pm - 9:55 pm, Community Theater's "She Loves Me"
Buy your tickets now for the 7:30pm Clearfield Community Theater’s performance of “She Loves Me” at the outdoor Bicentennial Park Amphitheater, 931 East 600 South.

Reserved seating is available by contacting the Community Services department at (801) 525-2790.

Tickets sell out early for the July 3rd performance (the fireworks show is visible from the Amphitheater), but additional performances are available on July 2, 5, 8, 9 and 10.

Ticket prices are $6 for adults, $4 for Seniors 60 and over, and $4 for children 12 and under.
