On Saturday, June 2, from 10am – noon, the cities of Clearfield, Clinton, Layton, Kaysville and Farmington are inviting walkers, joggers, bicyclists, rollerbladers and skateboarders to take on a section, or all 14-miles of the Denver & Rio Grande Western rail trail. The D&RGW paved trail runs through all five cities which, with the completion of Farmington’s section, connects to Legacy Highway, and Legacy connects to the Jordan River.
Bring the entire family (leashed dogs allowed) and discover the trail. In support of National Trails Day, event organizers from each city will have special activities along the route (games and prizes!). Clearfield City’s Community Services will have an activity station set up along the Clearfield section of the trail by Steed Park (park address 300 North 1000 West).
For more information on this fun-filled, family event visit the city website at www.clearfieldcity.org or call Clearfield Community Services at (801) 525-2790.
